Türkiye is hoping to strengthen its business relations with Trinidad and Tobago. This is according to the Turkish Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Bengü Yiğitgüde. Speaking at a business lunch meeting hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industry (TTCSI), Yiğitgüde says she wants to draw more attention to their trade market.

“Our figures in trade are very modest, but it does not really reflect our potential, it should be more. So, I am hoping that we can increase those numbers and create more awareness about the market here in Trinidad and Tobago and to draw some attention to the possibilities of what Türkiye can do,” Yiğitgüde said.

Mark Edghill, president of the TT Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI), has said the European Union (EU) is TT’s second largest trading partner.

He was speaking at the TTCSI’s Doing Business with the World Series webinar on Wednesday, which put a spotlight on the EU.

The Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI) wants small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to do business with Turkiye in the areas of tourism, hotel, health, film and animation, logistics and transport and energy.

The Yachting Service Industry needs urgent attention to once again be a foreign exchange earner for the country.
