Mr. Dav-Ernan Kowlessar
President
Mr. Kowlessar is currently in practice as a Business Development Consultant in the areas of Business Development, Management and Marketing working on several projects as directed by the firm. He is a multi-skilled professional with sound training and experience in management, strategic planning, marketing, accounting, management information systems, auditing, materials and management. He is also the President of Control Room Company Limited; an entertainment company.
He held the position of Senior Audit Assistant in the firm of Chartered Accountants, Mark Castillo Toney and Company, now Pannel Kerr Forster. He has held positions of Management Accountant, Financial Procurement/Customs/Materials Manager, at Penta Paints Limited. At Cariflex Limited he served as Business Development Manager with responsibility for sales, marketing, procurement and strategic growth.
He has also held managerial responsibilities in the Credit Union sector for Operations, Finance and MIS, and is still active in these areas. In this sector he also held various corporate positions including that of Vice President – Central Finance Facility Co-operation Society Limited.
Mr. Kowlessar graduated from the University of the West Indies with a B.Sc. (Honors) Degree in Industrial Management majoring in Finance and Marketing. He is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and has received additional training by attending several short courses both locally and abroad.
Mr. Kowlessar was the President of the Caribbean Association of Consultants, a former Secretary of the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce, a Past- President of the Rotary Club of Maracas/St. Joseph, an Executive member of the Guild of Graduates (T&T Branch), and an Executive member of the Arima Business Association.
In addition, he serves as a representative of the private sector dealing with trade issues on Caricom Working Group on Services Negotiations, Technical Co-ordinating Committee (Trinidad & Tobago), and Standing Committee for Trade and Trade related agreements (TT), Private Sector Services Committee (TT).
At the National level he has served as Vice-Chairman of the Vision 2020 sub-committee on International Relations, Regional Co-Operation and Trade, Chaired a task force on the implementation of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries which he now heads as Board Chairman.
