PRESIDENT’S STATEMENT
April 16, 2008
Dear TTCSI Members,
Almost one week ago, at the First Annual General Meeting of the TTCSI, you honoured me by electing me President of the TTCSI. This really is a humbling appointment, made all the more touching by recent challenges I have had in my personal life which prevented me from attending the AGM.
2008-2009 will be a challenging yet exciting year for the organisation. After completing the foundation work in the last year, the TTCSI must now begin to make an impact on national decision-making. It must increase its lobbying efforts and public outreach while contributing substantively to policy formulation and implementation to grow the services sector in Trinidad and Tobago.
The new Board of Directors is comprised of exceptional persons who have a record of personal and professional accomplishment. I am honoured to be able to work with them to fulfill the TTCSI mandate. But, in doing so, we will count on the continued support of all of you.
In closing, I would like to record the organisation's immense appreciation for the groundbreaking work accomplished by the Interim Chairman, Dav-Ernan Kowlessar. Dave was the driving force behind the establishment of the TTCSI and we owe him a debt of gratitude for his energy, vision and determination.I look forward to working with you and on your behalf over the next twelve months.
